Very lovely but smallish bakery in the middle of Chinatown. They have some very tasty gourmet (crepe) cakes and pastries. I also love their little swan logo and name. Cute! Located on Stockton St and Broadway. Very hard to find parking here. We mostly walk.

Gem. Unlocked a new favorite bakery in Chinatown. Here is what I tried: Vanilla Cream Puff: OMG 10/5 so good $1.30 I would love a whole box! Black Sesame Ham Bun: solid 4/5 sweet bun with savory ham is hard to go wrong and crispy little sesame seeds Croissant: nothing to write home about but my son loved them and you get two for $1.80 and it's hard to beat that price. BBQ Pork Bun (large): solid but maybe have been better heated for a few seconds 4/5 $2.50 Sausage Braided Bread: 3/5 would skip next time by my husband loved it. $2.80

I picked up an assortment of breads while I was in Chinatown and I really appreciated that this store took credit card, which can be a rarity in this part of town. Overall, I wouldn't say anything blew me away (note: I didn't try any of the cakes, which most of the other reviews are for), but there were definitely some solid bites. Egg Tart (3.5/5): A standard egg tart, not my favorite I've ever had given all the fresh options in the area, but would hit the spot if you were craving it. Custard is very egg forward and the crust was flaky enough. Mini-Red Bean Loaf (4/5): Super generous with the red bean and the bread itself was buttery and soft. Pork Floss and Scallion Roll Cake (4.25/5): A surprising hit - great balance of being a sweet with savory notes from the pork floss and scallions. The cake itself was moist and definitely would be one of my regular pickups.

My parents cannot stop going to bakeries where you can pick out your own pre-packaged treats. I have glossed over this bakery many times while in Chinatown because it looks a little empty & sterile inside with no seating, just a white interior with rows of packaged breads. I definitely underestimated them. I have only gone when I was desperate in the early mornings and everywhere else was closed and their treats were surprisingly delicious everytime! I LOVED their crepe cakes, especially their DURIAN FLAVOR! It's so flavorful but lightweight and not too sweet (I really thought it would be nauseatingly sugary but I was WRONG). I really enjoyed their matcha red bean roll cake as well - great snack that held up during travel! I think the only thing I was iffy on was their coconut cream bread but I also just don't really enjoy that type of sweet treat in general. Has a card minimum of $7 so definitely recommend buying several treats or bringing a friend!

I've had their durian crepe cake a couple times and been impressed - VERY DURIAN. Actual pieces of fruit. Not too sweet. Not cheap - definitely a treat. Comes in a self-contained box with little fork, though the staple closure it a little hard to open and kinda a hazard. Tried the cream puffs too and they were extremely sweet so would pass on those in the future.

I may have unlocked a new favorite Asian pastry. I love pork floss and I love sponge cake, and the combination was quite delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Still one of my all time favorite bakeries around! I recommend going early so you'll get the best selection of breads. I went this time in the afternoon and most of the popular flavors were already gone. I needed a cake for a birthday and I live too far away to preorder so I grabbed one of the ones in the case. Not sure if it was because it was a Saturday but they only had two available. A large and a small. The larger one was chocolate and the smaller one was strawberry. I grabbed the smaller one and it ended up feeding 7 people with leftovers. The price was around $38. If you want to get a cake, I would recommend popping in early and placing a preorder. You'll get a lot more choices and flavors. Oh ya as a tip, this is your typical traditional Chinese bakery so expect mass chaos. Lots of yelling and line cutting. Just have to go for it and get right in there and get what you need and get out. The chaos is worth the goods!

My favorite crepe cake in the city! I prefer Asian cakes because they are usually lighter and less sweet. You can taste how fresh the cream is, and the match flavor is not too overpowering / bitter. The cake also feeds at least 6-8 people and everyone can get a sizable slice! It was really easy to place the order over the phone, and pick up was very seamless as well. The bakery is so cute and had a lot of other sweet and savory pastries that were well organized to choose from. Highly recommend ordering their crepe cake or stopping by to grab baked goods :)
